First, we gathered personal stories from people caught inside the system. Then we opened conversations with the media, policymakers, and experts. Finally, we began identifying patterns - and proposing ways to make things better.

We helped individuals speak out and be heard.

We examined the reforms and regulations that had made the system tighter and harder to navigate.

Fair & Fornuftig (F&F) began as a cry for help - and became a community with a meaningful purpose.

In 2022, a visa rejection became a turning point. It sparked reactions, conversations, and a wave of solidarity. Many recognized the feeling: doing everything right and still being met with distrust.

That was the beginning of F&F.

Now F&F is a nonprofit association with a clear and ambitious purpose:

To protect and strengthen Denmark’s welfare society and values through well-being, trust, and a fairer inclusion of the people these systems are meant to serve.

We still stand on the same foundation we started with - but we stand stronger.

Now with both lived experience and professional expertise - working together to move things forward.

Raising awareness wasn’t enough. We needed insight, expertise, and practical experience - to offer solutions that could actually be used.

So we began building a network of psychologists, therapists, caseworkers, and other professionals with deep knowledge of well-being and system design.
